Hannah Matross

Hannah’s love for dance started at age 3 when she began taking classes at Columbus Dance Arts Academy in Ohio. Since moving to Texas, Hannah has been training at Red Door Dance Academy for the past 7 years. This is Hannah’s 6th year as a member of Red Door’s Company InspiRED Competition Team and 4th year as an Assistant Teacher through the STAR program. Teaching has not only provided an opportunity to be more involved with the studio and younger dancers but also allows time to work on technique and core fundamentals.  To Hannah, the STAR program is not only about teaching dance but also about being a good role model in and outside of the dance studio.  In addition to her time spent at Red Door, Hannah has also been a demi-soloist with Momentum Dance Company, dancing in annual performances of The Nutcracker and Spring Gala, since 2016. Hannah has attended Summer Intensives with Texas Ballet Theater, Momentum Dance Company, and was the 2018 Joyce Seaborne Bader Scholarship recipient, through the Dance Council of North Texas. Thru dance, Hannah has had the opportunity to model for AK Dancewear. Hannah is an Honor Roll Student and a member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) at Wylie High School.

Ava Wehner

Ava started dancing eleven years ago at age three, but it was Red Door that sparked her love for dance at age 6 with ballet and tap. At age 8 (2014), she started competing with Company Inspired, and her love of dance bloomed. Since dancing with Company Inspired, she has studied ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. Her favorite style depends on which classes she has that day since she truly loves them all. Ava is currently on the Chartreuse team of Company Inspired (woo ChaCha!), and this is her second year to be a part of the STAR program. Ava loves assisting in classes and thinks it’s hilarious that her sweet dancers look at her as a teacher. She loves watching her dancers grow, teaching them what her Red Door teachers have taught her, and hopes to inspire them to love dance as much as she does.

Avery Williams

Now she loves assisting hip hop and dancing with her drill team.
